“This is a very special forum. Mexico has participated in many major events in Azerbaijan, but this event is particularly important,” Mexico’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maria Victoria Romero Caballero told journalists, APA reports.
“Because a very large Mexican delegation is participating here and, most importantly, after Baku, the World Urban Forum will be held in Mexico City,” the ambassador added.
She noted that this creates an opportunity to show Azerbaijan what Mexico City is and at the same time exchange experience.
“Of course, Azerbaijan has always been very successful in organizing major events. This event is no exception. We are very happy and proud to have our pavilion here. Our urban planning programs, as well as certain elements of our ancient culture, are being presented here. In Azerbaijan, we sometimes present elements of our culture, but this time we have also brought dancers. We hope you will have the opportunity to visit our pavilion and become acquainted with the work Mexico City is carrying out in the field of urbanism,” she said.
