Four more individuals put on an international wanted list have been extradited to Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
In accordance with the provisions of the “Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters” dated October 7, 2002, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has granted the extradition requests submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding Azerbaijani citizens Anar Elmar oglu Yolchuyev, Reyhan Mirbala gizi Melikli, Zamiq Qurbanali oglu Aslanov, and Elshan Musa oglu Zakharov.
Since substantiated suspicions of committing criminal acts under relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan about those individuals were determined, decisions had been made to prosecute them as accused persons and they were put on an international wanted list for fleeing the investigation and hiding.
The mentioned individuals by being detained on the territory of the Russian Federation was brought to Azerbaijan under escort by the Special Convoy Unit of the Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service.
