Iran's highest-ranking military officer, Ali Shadmani, was killed in an airstrike by Israeli fighter jets deep inside Tehran, News.Az reports citing Times of Israel.
Shadmani was the head of Iran's extraordinary military headquarters and oversaw both the IRGC and the army.
