The KFC restaurant chain operating in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, owned by Anar Mammadov, the son of former Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, has announced its latest financial report.
Yeniavaz.com reports that B.J.R. Foods Limited, 75% of whose shares are owned by Anar Mammadov and which operates the KFC restaurant chain, ended 2024 with a profit of £169,185 (AZN 387,000).
The previous turnover of B.J.R. Foods Limited was £41 million (AZN 94 million), of which £10.5 million (AZN 24 million) was total revenue.

It is worth noting that Anar Mammadov acquired 75% of the shares of B.J.R. Foods Limited, which owns the franchise of the famous KFC restaurant chain in London, on July 23, 2021. After Anar Mammadov acquired shares in B.J.R. Foods Limited, the company began to operate at a loss. Thus, if B.J.R. Foods Limited ended 2021 with a profit of 3 million 244 thousand 762 pounds sterling, then its net loss in 2022 amounted to 1 million 182 thousand 13 pounds sterling, and in 2023 - 629 thousand 446 pounds sterling.

It should also be noted that this company, 75% of whose shares belong to Anar Mammadov, is currently headed by British citizens Zafar Abbasi, born in 1970, and Igbal Suleman, born in 1967. Previously, these individuals headed the London company Zqan UK Ltd from 2004 to 2010. As is known, the ZQAN holding operating in Azerbaijan belongs to Anar Mammadov. The name ZQAN is also based on the initials of the former minister and the names of his family members.
It should be noted that the KFC restaurants operating in Baku were also once affiliated with the ZQAN holding owned by Anar Mammadov. In 2013, the ZQAN holding changed its name to the Garant holding. After Ziya Mammadov resigned from his post as minister in 2017, the KFC restaurants became part of the Gilan holding, which was headed by the sons of the then Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov.
