On June 19, 2025, a phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Anita Anand, MFA told APA.
During the phone conversation, the current security situation resulting from the Israel-Iran confrontation was discussed. The Canadian Foreign Minister also expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan in the evacuation of Canadian citizens from Iran.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, congratulated the Canadian Minister on her appointment to the position and wished her success.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
