On June 19, 2025, a phone conversation took place between Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, APA reports citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the phone conversation, the current security situation resulting from the Israel-Iran confrontation was discussed. The Canadian Foreign Minister also expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan in the evacuation of Canadian citizens from Iran.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, congratulated the Canadian Minister on her appointment to the position and wished her success.
The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
