Azerbaijan relocates another group of former IDPs to Khidirli village in Aghdam, families receive house keys -PHOTO -UPDATED

The next resettlement convoy has arrived in the village of Khidirli in the Aghdam district, and keys have been handed over, APA reports.

Keys to newly built houses have been presented to 58 families comprising 225 people.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, as well as by representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.

Note that currently, in Karabakh and East Zangezur, in addition to the former IDPs resettled there, there are more than 50 thousand people working in the implementation of projects carried out in this region, as well as performing their official duties in local departments of various state entities, and working in health, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy enterprises that have resumed their activities.

In line with the directives of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has launched a new phase of resettlement to Khidirli village in the Aghdam district, APA reports.

Another resettlement convoy has been sent off to the village of Khidirli in the Aghdam district.

The families being resettled had previously been temporarily accommodated in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

During this stage, the following families are being relocated to Khidirli village:
– From Baku city: 20 families (76 people)
– From Barda district: 17 families (68 people)
– From Aghdam district: 8 families (36 people)
– From Mingachevir city: 5 families (16 people)
– From Yevlakh district: 3 families (10 people)
– From Gabala district: 1 family (5 people)
– From Oguz district: 1 family (5 people)
– From Aghjabadi district: 1 family (4 people)
– From Absheron district: 1 family (3 people)
– From Agdash district: 1 family (2 people)

In total, 58 families (225 people) are being resettled in this phase.

Taking into account the current convoy dated July 31, 2025, a total of 188 families (737 people) have been resettled in Khidirli village of the Aghdam district.

The returning residents expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care provided to them.

They also thanked the brave Azerbaijani Army, our heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the lands, and prayed for the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this cause.

Note that currently, more than 50,000 people live in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, including former internally displaced persons who have returned, those working on ongoing projects in the region, employees of local branches of various state institutions, and those serving in reactivated healthcare, education, culture, tourism, industry, and energy facilities.
