Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met with Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzana Sadiq, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
The meeting took place in the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Avaza, Turkmenistan.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the two countries in various sectors of the economy, especially the implementation of joint border projects.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of existing projects, including the Astara railway cargo terminal and border bridges under construction.
It was noted that close contacts between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian played a special role in deepening relations between the two countries.
The parties also agreed on mutual visits in the near future.
The meeting included a wide exchange of views on the progress of projects, solving upcoming problems, and deepening cooperation.
