In the first half of this year, BP’s direct expenditures on local workforce (services) and materials under contracts signed with local companies and foreign contractors operating in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye (AGT) region amounted to 772.7 million US dollars, which represents a 1.8% increase in an annual comparison, APA-Economics reports the BP’s report dedicated to the results on its operations in Azerbaijan for the first half of this year.
According to the document, during the reporting period, BP spent 314.4 million dollars within the framework of joint ventures (15 enterprises) with its local partners.
According to the report, the company spent 172.9 million dollars on the in-country expenditures of foreign contractors (71 companies) during the reporting period. In addition, BP’s expenditures for 204 small and medium-sized enterprises during that period amounted to 257.5 million dollars, while expenditures for 33 state-owned companies totaled 27.9 million dollars.
