Zelenskyy: Sanctions on Russia should be expanded if trilateral meeting does not take place

Zelenskyy said that sanctions on Russia should be strengthened if the trilateral meeting does not take place, APA reports.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted Ukraine's demands on his social media account.

"There should be no more pause between Russian occupations, but real peace. There should be a ceasefire on the front and in the sky. The killings should stop, all prisoners and hostages should be released. Thousands of Ukrainians are in captivity and all of them should be returned to their homeland. Pressure should be exerted on Russia as long as the aggression continues. In my phone conversation with President Trump, I stated that if the trilateral meeting does not take place or if Russia does not seriously end the war, sanctions should be intensified. Long-term and reliable security guarantees should be provided. All important issues related to Ukraine should be discussed with the participation of Ukraine. No decision on any issue, especially on the territorial issue, can be made without the participation of Ukraine," Zelenskyy noted.

He stressed that Ukraine continues to cooperate with anyone who wants peace anywhere in the world.
