Secretaries of Armenian and Russian Security Councils held telephone conversation

Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan had a telephone conversation with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, APA reports citing the Armenian press.

Grigoryan informed his counterpart about the details of the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington and expressed his confidence that peace has already been established in the region. According to him, this meets the interests of all countries in the region.

Grigoryan also provided information about the opening of communication routes in the region and the economic opportunities that will arise as a result, emphasizing the importance of these opportunities in terms of the interests of all countries.

Shoigu, in turn, informed his counterpart about the results of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska and the steps to be taken next.

During the telephone conversation, the parties also discussed issues surrounding Armenian-Russian relations.
