It has been announced that more than 55 million people with valid visas in the United States are being investigated for immigration violations that could result in their visas being revoked or deportation.
APA reports that the US State Department confirmed in a statement issued on August 19 that it had revoked more than 6,000 student visas since the beginning of the year due to expired visas and violations.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced in May that they were reviewing the visa status of students who participated in pro-Palestinian protests and demonstrations and that they would be revoked.
It is reported that if more than 55 million visa holders are found to have violated immigration rules, their visas could be canceled or the visa holder could be deported.
These violations include overstaying your visa in the United States, committing a crime, threatening public safety, engaging in any terrorist activity, or supporting a terrorist organization.
