The Washington meeting is a historic turning point in terms of ensuring sustainable peace and security in the South Caucasus, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev said at the international conference on "National Leader Heydar Aliyev is the author of the Constitution of independent Azerbaijan" held in Lachin, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
Kamran Aliyev said that the initialing of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the US capital, Washington, at the White House, is one of the most important events of this year: "This event is a confirmation of the full recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereign rights in the international community. This diplomatic success is the result of the growing influence of our country and the decisive and comprehensive policy of President Ilham Aliyev."
