Acclaimed writers visit Azerbaijan National Library [PHOTOS]

Secretary of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, playwright and poet Ilgar Fahmi has visited the National Library, Azernews reports.

After familiarizing himself with the book exhibition dedicated to his 50th anniversary, Ilgar Fahmi shared his memories of the Azerbaijan National Library, which he frequently visits as a reader, and expressed his gratitude for the organization of the exhibition.

Professor Karim Tahirov, the director of the National Library, congratulated Ilgar Fahmi on his anniversary, highlighting his significant contributions to the development of modern Azerbaijani literature and culture, and wished him continued success.

Literary scholar, writer, and professor Almaz Ulvi, who recently celebrated his 65th birthday, also visited the exhibition held in his honor at the National Library and expressed his gratitude to the library administration for the recognition.

He presented the library with 58 copies of 18 books, including works such as "Heç demirsən, Ələsgərim hardadır?!", "Ədəbi portretlər", "Mən qorxmuram uzaq yola çıxmaqdan", as well as his research on the Uzbek literature he has studied for nearly 30 years.

The director of the National Library, Karim Tahirov, highly appreciated Almaz Ulvi's contribution.

Note that Almaz Ulvi is the author of numerous research works, including "Azerbaijan-Uzbek (Chagatai) Literary Relations", "Azerbaijan-Uzbek Literary Relations: Periods, Figures, Genres, and Trends", "Ali Shir Navai in Azerbaijani Literary Scholarship", "The Era and Prose of Ali Shir Navai", "Nizami Ganjavi and Ali Shir Navai: Tradition and Innovation", and "Zahir al-Din Muhammad Babur and Azerbaijan", among others.
