Media: Zaluzhnyi is a suitable candidate to replace Zelenskyy

In February of this year, following a dispute between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents at the White House, U.S. Vice President James David Vance called Ukraine’s ambassador to London, Valerii Zaluzhnyi,  anonymous sources told The Guardian newspaper, APA reports.

However, after consultations with the Ukrainian government, Zaluzhnyi refused to answer the call.

In the article published by the newspaper, it is claimed that Zaluzhnyi is considered an ideal candidate to replace the current Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and it is speculated that this may be the reason behind the call from the U.S. Vice President.

However, the article notes that Zaluzhnyi remains loyal to the Zelenskyy government and has not made any statements indicating political ambitions so far.

It should be noted that Valerii Zaluzhnyi previously served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He is currently serving as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
