The first Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union will be held on September 14 of this year in Shusha, Azerbaijan, with the strategic support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the organization of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association and the participation of the Organization of Turkic States, ASA told APA-Economics.
Assembly is expected to be attended by state officials, financial regulators, insurance associations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as the leadership of the Organization of Turkic States.
The information notes that the official opening part of the event will consist of 2 separate discussion panels of financial regulators and insurance associations of the Turkic states. A "Proclamation Document" on the reformation of the Turkic World Insurance Union based on the goals and principles of the Organization of Turkic States will be signed within the framework of the Assembly.
It should be noted that the Turkic World Insurance Union was established on May 24, 2022, by the joint agreement and joint initiative of the insurance associations of Azerbaijan and Turkey, with the participation of the insurance associations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan, in Istanbul. The insurance associations of Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus later joined the Union as observer organizations.
It should be added that the first Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union is organized in Azerbaijan, in alphabetical order, in accordance with the "Roadmap" of the Union.
