US President Donald Trump said that he expects to hold a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming days and decide on further steps concerning Russia and Ukraine, APA reports.
"I will be talking to him very soon. And I will understand in general what we will do," Trump said, answering questions from reporters at the beginning of a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the White House. He expressed confidence that the United States had previously "taken very decisive measures" in the context of a settlement in Ukraine.
"I will be talking to him in the next few days. And I will know exactly what is going on," the American leader added. "I want all of this to stop," he emphasized, speaking about the Ukrainian conflict. "I think the solution will be good," Trump assured.
"We stopped giving money. We send weapons to NATO, they pay in full," the American leader added. Speaking about Washington's support for Kyiv, he stressed: "Biden spent $350 billion so stupidly. That's one of the reasons this all started." Trump called Biden's actions "a major reason" for the start of the conflict.
