Cyberattacks against Azerbaijan are continuous and persistent, and we observe them on a daily basis, Tural Mammadov, Deputy Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
Tural Mammadov said that the volume of these attacks fluctuates over certain periods: “Normally, we observe DDoS attacks on a daily basis. At the same time, there are specific phishing attacks carried out via email or, more recently, via Telegram, targeting citizens for infection or data theft. Each of these incidents is continuously monitored by our service, and when more significant cyberattacks are detected, special teams are assigned to investigate and analyze them. Naturally, the results are shared with relevant institutions to identify the parties responsible for organizing these cyberattacks and to take further action.”
