In recent months, Armenians voluntarily leaving Karabakh have been moving to Russia in large numbers, APA reports, citing the publication “Hraparak.”
According to the publication, the mass movement of Armenians leaving Karabakh to Russia is driven by the war in Ukraine. Many are registering with Armenian battalion “Arbat,” where voluntary units—particularly contract servicemen—receive relatively high salaries to participate in the Russia–Ukraine conflict.
