A delegation consisting of representatives of the Social Research Center, the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Media Development Agency, led by Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, is participating in the Global South Media and Think Tanks Forum held in Yunnan Province, China, Agency told APA.
The event, the opening ceremony of which took place on September 6, was attended by approximately 500 delegates representing more than 260 organizations from 110 countries, including representatives of international and regional organizations. Bringing together representatives of the media, think tanks, government agencies, the business sector and academic institutions, the Forum provides an opportunity to build a consensus on peace, identify factors that promote development, explore new ways of cooperation and develop dialogue among civilizations.
Within the framework of the Forum, the exchange ceremony of the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Media Field between the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Xinhua News Agency of the People's Republic of China” signed between Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Fu Hua, President of the Xinhua News Agency of the People's Republic of China was also held.
It should be noted that the Forum also includes major events such as the plenary session, the 4th Yunnan International Communication Forum, the Artificial Intelligence Technology and Media Forum, the Global South Think Tanks Forum, the Global South Youth Dialogue, and the Global South World Heritage Forum.
