Ukraine receives another 1 billion euros in financial assistance from EU

The European Union (EU) has sent another 1 billion euros in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine using funds obtained from frozen Russian assets, said Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko in an interview with “X”, APA reports.

According to her, this assistance demonstrates Europe’s determination to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and resilience against Russia’s increasing missile attacks and destabilization attempts.

Sviridenko also thanked European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Commission Vice-President for Economic and Financial Affairs Valdis Dombrovskis:

“These funds serve to protect people, rebuild cities and secure Ukraine’s European future. The aggressor will get his revenge. Justice will prevail.”
