A pre-trial detention measure has been imposed against former Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, who is accused of abuse of office and money laundering, News.Az reports citing Georgian media.
Judge Eka Barbakadze granted the prosecution’s motion.
Earlier, the defense had petitioned the court for his release on bail, but the judge rejected the request.
