On September 18, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Institutions, met with Mayssoun Zein Al Din, Executive Director of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy for International Politics in Bonn.
The meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation in the field of religious education and the promotion of intercultural and interfaith dialogue, News.Az reports citing local media.
Mammadov provided detailed information about the state policy pursued under President Ilham Aliyev’s directives to regulate state–religion relations, ensure freedom of religious belief, and protect multicultural values. He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s initiatives to advance interfaith dialogue and cooperation on international platforms.
Mayssoun Zein Al Din hailed Azerbaijan’s achievements in regulating the religious-spiritual environment and state–religion relations, describing the country’s model of multiculturalism as one of the best examples of peaceful coexistence. The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
