In the first nine months of this year, 36,037 people from Israel visited Azerbaijan for tourism.
According to Yeniavaz.com, citing official data, 23,948 people, or 66.4%, came to the country for leisure and entertainment.
It should be noted that compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists from Israel in Azerbaijan in the first nine months of this year increased by 13,619, or 60.7%. The number of tourists coming for leisure and entertainment increased by 7,673, or 47%.
The most significant increase was recorded among Israeli tourists coming to Azerbaijan for medical treatment. The number of Israeli tourists coming to Azerbaijan for medical treatment in the first nine months of this year increased 7.2 times compared to the same period last year, reaching 159.
