The brother of Catholicos II Garegin, Gevorg Nersisyan, who was detained, has been imprisoned for a period of one month, said lawyer Ara Zohrabyan, APA reports, citing Armenian media.
Currently, the court is considering a petition for the detention of his son, Ambartsum Nersisyan.

The detained brother of Catholicos II Garegin, Gevork Nersisyan, and his son Ambarstum Nersisyan have been questioned, Armenian media reported, citing their lawyer Ara Zohrabyan, APA reports.
According to the lawyer, both individuals were questioned after being detained, and the video recordings of their statements have been submitted to the investigation authorities.
“Gevork Nersisyan and his son Ambarstum Nersisyan have been detained. They have given statements, and the video recording has been submitted to the investigation. We are currently awaiting a decision. According to the law, within 12 hours, a request must be submitted to the court to select a preventive measure of detention, or they must be released,” said Ara Zohrabyan.
Note that the brother and nephew of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II have been detained on charges of obstructing a campaign and hooliganism.
