reports, citing official data, retail turnover increased by 63%, or 14.6 billion manat, during this period, reaching 37.7 billion manat last year.
It should be noted that 60.7% of retail turnover was accounted for by locally produced goods, while 39.3% was imported.
For comparison, five years ago, in 2020, there was one store for every 100 residents of the capital, and last year, there was one store for every 44 residents. It should also be noted that retail turnover recorded in the capital Baku accounted for 60.7% of the country's total retail turnover.
