From January to November of this year, Azerbaijan produced 15.7 billion cigarettes.
Yeniavaz.com reports citing official data, cigarette production increased by 15.3% compared to the same period last year.
Considering that a pack contains 20 cigarettes, approximately 785 million packs of cigarettes were produced in the country over the 11 months.
For information, in the first 10 months of this year, 2.379 billion cigarettes (approximately 119 million packs) were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign countries. The vast majority of these exports went to Georgia (1.9 billion packs) and Russia (252.4 million packs).
It should be noted that after Azneft, Tabaterra LLC, a cigarette manufacturer, paid the largest amount of taxes in Azerbaijan last year. This company, headed by Elman Javanshir, the nephew of MP Javanshir Feyziyev, paid 689.3 million manat in taxes to the state budget last year.
