The Secretary General of the ICDO, Arguj Kalantarli, has paid a visit to Russia, APA reports.
A delegation led by Arguj Kalantarli, Secretary General of the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO), has paid an official visit to the Russian Federation to take part in events marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.
As part of the visit, on December 24, the Secretary General met with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu.
During the meeting, an extensive exchange of views was held on issues of cooperation between the ICDO and the Russian Federation. Particular attention was paid to prospects for further development of cooperation in the fields of civil defence, emergency preparedness and response, as well as elimination of the consequences of emergencies.
The Secretary General expressed gratitude for the support provided to the ICDO and for constructive cooperation within the framework of international collaboration in the field of civil defence. The parties emphasized the importance of further deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the prospects for the future development of cooperation between the ICDO and the Russian Federation.
