“2026 will be marked by the transition to the active phase of the construction of the Anaklia deep-sea port and the completion of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project,” Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said during her speech at the opening ceremony of the country's railway modernization project, APA's local bureau reports.
According to her, 7 billion lari will be invested in the development of Georgia's strategic transport infrastructure by 2032, of which 1 billion will be directed to the further development of railways.
