Israel discussed in Cairo return of remains of last hostage from Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sent a delegation to the Egyptian capital to negotiate the return of the body of the last remaining Israeli hostage from the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister's office announced, APA reports.

"At the direction of Prime Minister Netanyahu, the coordinator for prisoners and missing persons affairs, Brigadier General (Ret.) Gal Hirsch, flew to Cairo this morning, where he met with high-ranking officials and representatives of the mediating countries. The meetings focused on the efforts and details of the operation to return the deceased hostage, Ran Gwili," the statement read.

The office added that the delegation included representatives of the Israeli army, the Shin Bet Security Service, and the Mossad intelligence service.
