Former Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaya has been detained, said the State Security Service of Georgia, , APA's local bureau reports.
It was noted that Akhalaya's detention is related to the October 4 events in Tbilisi.
It should be noted that the rally held after the municipal elections in Georgia on October 4 continued with riots in front of the presidential palace. The protesters attempted to storm the presidential residence.
It should be noted that Bacho Akhalaya served as Georgia's Defense Minister from 2009 to 2012.
