Drone crashes into military base in Poland

An unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has fallen onto the territory of a military unit in Poland, Poland’s Military Gendarmerie posted on “X”, APA reports.

It was stated that the Military Gendarmerie unit in the city of Łódź is conducting an investigation into a UAV that fell on February 6 onto the territory of the 1st Air Cavalry Battalion located in Lejnitsa-Vyelkaya and caused no damage.

Procedural measures are currently ongoing at the scene.

It was noted that, in accordance with Aviation Legislation, the use of aerial objects, especially conducting flights over military-designated areas and facilities, is considered a criminal offense, and such an act carries a penalty of up to 5 years’ imprisonment.
