The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, will depart for a visit to the Vatican on February 8, the Press Service of the Caucasus Muslims Office told APA.
It was noted that the visit is taking place at the personal invitation of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the Head of the Holy See and the Catholic Church.
Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh will attend an audience with the Pontiff on February 9.
During the visit, bilateral meetings are planned between the heads of religious denominations in Azerbaijan and the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, as well as other Vatican officials.
