FM Jeyhun Bayramov says Azerbaijan always stands with Pakistan in fight against terrorism -UPDATED

A phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

It was reported that during the phone call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov condemned the terrorist incident that occurred at a mosque in Islamabad and conveyed deep condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the Government and people of Pakistan. He emphasized that Azerbaijan always stands by Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism.

During the conversation, various aspects of the partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, issues arising from agreements reached between the two countries, as well as the regional security situation, were also discussed.

Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received a phone call from the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared on X account, APA reports.

FM Bayramov conveyed condolences on behalf of the President, government, and people of Azerbaijan, extending prayers for the victims of the Islamabad blast and solidarity with Pakistan. Strongly condemning the attack, DPM /FM reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to fight the menace of terrorism.

Both leaders also discussed current regional and international developments of mutual interest, and reaffirmed the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
