Two Turkish passenger planes remain in Iran amid conflict

Two passenger planes belonging to Türkiye have remained in Iran, said Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu,  APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.

He noted that the crews of the two aircraft that were in Iran when the war began were evacuated to Türkiye. The minister added that another passenger plane is currently in a holding position in Iraq:

“Two of our planes are in Iran, and one is in Iraq. When the war started, the planes remained there, while their crews were brought to Türkiye. The planes will be returned to Türkiye after the war ends,” Uraloğlu said.
