US President Donald Trump confirmed that the second crew member of the F-15E fighter jet shot down over Iran has been rescued, APA reports.
"We rescued a seriously wounded and truly brave F-15 crew member and officer from the depths of the Iranian mountains. A large number of Iranian troops were closely tracking him and closing in. He is a highly respected colonel. Such raids are extremely rare due to the danger to personnel and equipment. <...> The second raid followed the first, during which we rescued the pilot in broad daylight after spending seven hours over Iran, which is also unusual," he wrote in Truth Social.
