President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that Ukrainian specialists have successfully intercepted and downed Iranian "Shahed" drones in several Middle East countries, UNIAN reports.
Zelenskyy stated that even drones equipped with jet engines were among those intercepted.
The President recalled that Ukraine had deployed military specialists to the Middle East, specifically experts in drone technology and electronic warfare (EW).
"Did we destroy them? Yes, they did. Was it in just one country? No, in several. And this, in my opinion, is a success," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The Ukrainian President noted that this is not merely a training mission, but active support for the creation of a modern, operational air defense system.
