Detention orders issued for 10 public figures in Türkiye over drug-related charges

A new operation has been carried out within the framework of a drug investigation targeting well-known individuals in Türkiye, Haber Global reports.

It was stated that detention orders were issued for 10 more individuals in the investigation. Three of them were detained, four were not found at their registered addresses, and three were found to be abroad, prompting search warrants to be issued for them.

According to the information, social media figure Sercan Yaşar, known as the “supplier of drugs to celebrities” and currently in custody, was brought to court yesterday to give a statement. It was reported that he confessed to the crime in the investigation on charges of “drug trafficking” and was released after benefiting from the effective remorse mechanism.

During an early morning operation conducted as part of the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Aleyna Tilki, Danla Bilic, İrem Sak, and Senna Yıldız were detained on charges of “acquiring, using, or possessing narcotic or psychotropic substances for use.”

Melisa Döngel, Yusuf Güney, and Cihan Şensözlü, for whom detention orders were issued, were not found at their registered addresses. Additionally, search warrants were issued for Şeyma Subaşı, Şevval Şahin, and Mert Vidinli, who were determined to be abroad.
