In January–March of this year, the total value of production in Azerbaijan’s mining industry amounted to 8,723.3 million manats, which is a 0.7% decrease compared to the previous year, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.
7,745.4 million manats of the total figure accounted for crude oil and natural gas production, which represents a 1.9% decrease in annual comparison.

According to the data, during the reporting period, production of marketable oil, the main product of the sector, amounted to 6,611.9 thousand tons, while production of marketable natural gas totaled 9,857.9 million cubic meters.
It is noted that marketable oil production decreased by 3.4% compared to the previous year, while marketable gas production increased by 0.7%.
