The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has approved a project envisaging the modernization of water supply and sewage infrastructure in the city of Sheki and surrounding villages, APA-Economics reports.
The decision on the project was adopted by the Bank on April 29. The total value of the project amounts to 95 million euros, of which up to 91 million euros will be financed through a loan facility.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to establish drinking water supply, sewage, and stormwater management systems in Sheki and nearby villages, as well as to construct wastewater treatment facilities.
Note that the main objective of the project is to ensure an uninterrupted water supply, improve wastewater management, and create resilient infrastructure against flood risks.
