Azerbaijan to expand simplified customs procedures, establish Trade Facilitation Centers

The scope of simplified customs procedures is being expanded, and Trade Facilitation Centers are planned to be established, APA reports.

This is reflected in the amendments to the Customs Code discussed at the Milli Majlis. Under the draft, simplified procedures such as expedited release of goods, electronic declarations, and direct delivery to warehouses will be applied during customs control and clearance.

The project also provides for the creation of Trade Facilitation Centers to coordinate customs operations in a single location.

After discussions, the draft law was adopted in the first reading.
