Donald Trump has warned that Iran would face devastating consequences if it attacks American naval vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump said any assault on US ships ensuring safe passage through the vital maritime corridor would trigger an overwhelming response.
He emphasized that the United States continues to strengthen its military presence in the region, highlighting the scale and capability of its forces.
“We have more and better weapons and ammunition than ever before. We have superior equipment. We have resources and military bases all over the world. All of them are supplied. If necessary, we can use all of this and we will,” Trump said.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Gulf, where the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical route for global energy shipments and a focal point of geopolitical friction.
