Four people have died in a serious traffic accident in Azerbaijan’s Ağdam district, according to local reports.
The crash occurred on the Ağdam–Khankəndi highway, in the section passing through the village of Çuxurməhlə in the Ağdam district.
According to preliminary information, a “KIA” passenger car collided with a “VAZ-2106” vehicle. Initially, three people were reported dead and four others sustained injuries of varying severity.
Later, another seriously injured victim died, raising the death toll to four.
Emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene following the accident.
Rescuers from the Karabakh Regional Center of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recovered the bodies trapped inside the damaged vehicles and handed them over to the relevant authorities.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
