On May 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the first residential complex consisting of 104 apartments built in the city of Zangilan, APA reports.
Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President in the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, briefed the head of state on the conditions created in the complex.
It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the complex in 2022. The head of state inspected the construction progress of the residential complex in 2024 and 2025.
The total area of the complex exceeds 2 hectares. Twelve buildings have been constructed there, including four three-story buildings consisting of 60 apartments and eight two-story townhouse-type buildings consisting of 44 apartments. The complex includes a total of 104 apartments, 84 of which are intended for residents and 20 for service use. The apartments consist of 2, 3, 4, and 5 rooms.
A number of measures have been implemented in the residential complex to address residents’ social needs. Children’s and sports playgrounds, a bicycle lane, and underground and above-ground parking areas have been created in the area. According to Zangilan’s Master Plan, the residential complex is located in the central part of the city, near a school, nursery-kindergarten, and park, within a medium-density multifunctional zone.
