Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has commented on US President Donald Trump’s visit to China, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
Baghaei said the visit is bilateral in nature and concerns Beijing and Washington.
He noted that Iran continues its relations with China as a strategic partner and that Tehran’s position was conveyed to Beijing during the recent visit of the Iranian foreign minister to China.
According to Baghaei, China understands that the war against Iran was not accidental, but part of a global process aimed at strengthening the United States’ unilateral policies.
“Security in the Persian Gulf and West Asia is at least as important for China as it is for us,” he emphasized.
Recall that US President Donald Trump will visit China on May 13-15.
