All our conditions are completely logical, reasonable and legal, President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with the media regarding the results of his visit to the US, APA reports.
According to the head of state, at various stages, such an assumption was put forward in Armenian society and ruling circles that Azerbaijan wanted to interfere in Armenia's internal affairs: "Even during the negotiations, such an issue was raised many times. Our position was that this should not be resolved in this way. This is an issue that directly concerns us. It is an open demand, a claim, for our territorial integrity. Therefore, a peace agreement cannot be signed without this amendment. Our position was always consistent, logical, and reasonable. And we have never stepped back from our position. Because we have never put unrealistic and unacceptable conditions before Armenia. But for some reason, our reasonable proposal on the abolition of the Minsk Group was met with a negative reaction. However, we have repeatedly tried to explain that, given that Armenia recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, given that Armenia itself already says that Karabakh is already Azerbaijan, the de jure continuation of the Minsk Group is completely illogical. It had already lost its functional essence. And we will never allow "so that it can be revived in some form, or take on some other form. Therefore, today, I believe that our joint appeal regarding the initialing of the Peace Agreement and the dissolution of the Minsk Group removes the first obstacle."
