Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov met with newly appointed Israeli ambassador

On August 1, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ronen Kraus, MFA told APA.

During the meeting, the ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities in our country.

Later, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, as well as the regional situation, were discussed.

Cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, trade, energy, agriculture, investments, security and humanitarian spheres was appreciated, and it was emphasized that relations have broad development prospects.

It was noted that the tense situation in the Middle East region is of serious concern, our country calls for the establishment of peace and stability, and is always ready to contribute to this process.

The new ambassador stressed that he will spare no efforts to expand cooperation between our countries during his term.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
