The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia has filed a lawsuit in court to declare the contracts for the lease of real estate and land plots between the Ministry of Defense and the Armenian Apostolic Church invalid, APA reports, citing Sputnik-Armenia.
The case will be investigated by the Anti-Corruption Court.
The Prosecutor General's Office of the mentioned country stated that, according to the contract signed on August 30, 2019, the state-owned buildings with an area of 9427.3 square meters and a land plot of 8.9 hectares, which were given to the Ministry of Defense for use, were transferred to the church's balance sheet free of charge.
