The indicators of the production of main agricultural products in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions in January-July of this year have been announced, APA-Economics has made calculations on this based on data from the State Statistical Committee.
Cereals and grain legumes
In the Karabakh economic region, the harvest of cereals and grain legumes in the 7 months was 395,780.9 tons, and the productivity was 37.2 centners/ha. This is 28.4% and 9.1% more, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Within the Karabakh economic region, the harvest in Agjabedi district was 129,361.0 tons (annual +59.2%), productivity 43.6 cents/ha (annual +3.3%), the harvest in Aghdam district was 48,114.6 tons (annual +25.0%), productivity 43.6 cents/ha (annual +2.3%), the harvest in Agdara district was 2,590.3 tons (annual +3.6%), productivity 29.6 cents/ha (annual +23.8%), the harvest in Barda district was 55,220.0 tons (annual –5.0%), productivity 42.2 cents/ha (annual +1.4%), the harvest in Fuzuli district was 110,158.7 tons (annual +26.9%), productivity 35.4 cents/ha (annual +3.8%), the harvest in Khojaly district was 367.2 tons (annual +0.6%), productivity 15.2 cents/ha (annual –29.3%), Khojavend region harvest 23,567.5 tons (annual +51.3%), productivity 17.7 cents/ha (annual +46.3%), Shusha region harvest 3,601.4 tons (annual +25.2%), productivity 24.6 cents/ha (annual +26.2%), Tartar region harvest 22,800.2 tons (annual +2.2%), productivity 39.6 cents/ha (annual +28.6%).
In the East Zangezur economic region, the harvest of cereals and cereal legumes was 9,100.6 tons, productivity 17.3 cents/ha, which is 17.6% and 28.2% more than the previous year, respectively.
Within the East Zangezur economic region, the harvest in Jabrayil district was 7,815.0 tons (annual -7.8%), productivity 23.0 cents/ha (annual -15.8%), the harvest in Kalbajar district was 293.2 tons (annual -11.5%), productivity 28.2 cents/ha (+10.2%), the harvest in Gubadli district was 202.8 tons (annual -73.3%), productivity 3.9 cents/ha (annual -70.0%), the harvest in Lachin district was 484.4 tons (annual -51.8%), productivity 16.8 cents/ha (annual -10.2%), the harvest in Zangilan district was 305.2 tons (annual -36.6%), productivity 3.2 cents/ha (annual -85.0%).
Potato
During the reporting period, the potato harvest in the Karabakh economic region decreased by 3.6% annually to 10,797.5 tons, while the yield increased by 0.2% annually to 138 centners/ha.
Within the economic region, the harvest in Agjabedi district was 1,274.6 tons (annual +10.6%), productivity 125.9 cents/ha (unchanged), the harvest in Aghdam district was 3,319.8 tons (annual +5.1%), productivity 172.0 cents/ha (annual +0.2%), the harvest in Barda district was 2,006.0 tons (annual –8.0%), productivity 127.8 cents/ha (annual +0.9%), the harvest in Fuzuli district was 1,698.7 tons (annual +0.7%), productivity 116.4 cents/ha (annual –3.4%), the harvest in Khojaly district was 111.0 tons (annual –46.9%), productivity 185.0 cents/ha (annual –2.6%), the harvest in Khojavand district was 33.0 tons (annual –16.7%), productivity 94.2 cents/ha (annually –0.1%), the harvest in Tartar district was 2,354.4 tons (annually –15.2%), the productivity was 133.8 centners/ha (annually +1.7%).
The harvest of potato crops in the East Zangezur economic region was 628.7 tons, the productivity was 163.7 centners/ha (+1.0% and +3.1% annually).
Within the economic region, the harvest in Jabrayil district was 605.5 tons (annually +2.8%), the productivity was 174.0 centners/ha (annually +0.5%), the harvest in Zangilan district was 23.2 tons (annually –30.7%), the productivity was 64.4 centners/ha (unchanged).
Vegetables
For the first 7 months of the year, the vegetable harvest in the Karabakh economic region was 133,465.8 tons, with a productivity of 289.0 centners/ha (annual –1.6% and +1.6%).
Within the Karabakh economic region, the harvest in Agjabedi district was 5,215.1 tons (annual +6.3%), productivity 319.9 cents/ha (annual –0.9%), the harvest in Aghdam district was 31,174.5 tons (annual +24.2%), productivity 231.1 cents/ha (annual +8.7%), the harvest in Barda district was 89,368.9 tons (annual –8.6%), productivity 363.6 cents/ha (annual +2.0%), the harvest in Fuzuli district was 1,224.6 tons (annual +1.2%), productivity 72.5 cents/ha (annual –1.6%), the harvest in Khojaly district was 37.5 tons (annual –10.3%), productivity 125.0 cents/ha (annual –10.3%), the harvest in Khojavand district was 42.6 tons (annual +9.0%), productivity 96.8 cents/ha (annually –6.0%), the harvest in Tartar district was 5,961.1 tons (annually –9.9%), the productivity was 132.6 cents/ha (annually +5.1%).
In the East Zangezur economic region, the harvest of vegetables was 254.6 tons, the productivity was 84.3 cents/ha (+7.3% and +13.0% annually).
Of the administrative territories included in the East Zangezur economic region, the harvest in Jabrayil district was 239.5 tons (annually +10.4%), the productivity was 99.0 cents/ha (annually +6.3%), the harvest in Zangilan district was 15.1 tons (annually –25.2%), the productivity was 25.2 cents/ha (annually +5.9%).

Fruits and berries
In January-July, the harvest of fruits and berries in the Karabakh economic region amounted to 17,425.3 tons (+22.1% annually).
Within the economic region, the harvest in the Agjabedi region was 3,705.8 tons (+1.3% annually), the harvest in the Aghdam region was 816.4 tons (+0.8% annually), the harvest in the Barda region was 4,541.0 tons (+4.3% annually), the harvest in the Fuzuli region was 402.8 tons (+4.5% annually), the harvest in the Khojavend region was 292.8 tons (+86.7% annually), and the harvest in the Tartar region was 7,666.5 tons (+56.1% annually).
The harvest of fruits and berries in the East Zangezur economic region was 327.7 tons (+4.7% annually).
Within the East Zangezur economic region, the harvest in the Jabrayil district was 319.6 tons (+4.4% annually), and the harvest in the Zangilan district was 8.1 tons (+15.7% annually).
Conclusion
In general, positive trends prevailed in agricultural production in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions in January-July 2025. In particular, the harvest of cereals, potatoes and vegetables in the Karabakh economic region was distinguished by an increase in the rate of harvest. The general picture in the East Zangezur economic region also indicates that progress continues in expanding the agricultural potential of the region.
