A phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, MFA told APA.
During the call, the Cypriot foreign minister extended congratulations on the achievements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process within the framework of the Summit held during the visit of the President of Azerbaijan to the United States.
The ministers also discussed Cyprus’s plans within its Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2026, as well as regional issues. It was noted that Cyprus stands ready to contribute to the peace process in the region during its EU presidency.
The phone conversation also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
